I did my first blog post and on my homepage, it shows the full post. Is there a way to show a thumbnail of the picture along with a summary of the post? I went to my "reading settings" and changed "For each article in a feed, show - Summary." Still doesn't work?

    Thanks,

    Jessica

That Reading settings is just for RSS feeds.

The setting you want to change is under the Genesis > Theme Settings menu, in the "Content Archives" section.

I have the same problem as Jessica. I tried to change the settings under the "content archives" section, but this didn't result in a change on my homepage. Currently, the most recent blog is displayed in full on my homepage. Instead, I just want a snippet or preview to be shown. I'm using the Eleven40 Pro theme.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I only just joined, and very NEW to studiopress, but not to WordPress...

Now, to get your post simply truncated you add a <more> tag into it - syntax can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

I believe (and might be wrong - see above) to get summaries on your home displayed instead of a truncated post you'll have to edit the function.php.
