    Genesis Author Pro theme.

    Trying to add content above posts on my blog page - followed the code snippet instructions here

    It does make the Word Press Editor available to me, but when I publish, I don't see any of that content - just the blog posts. Cleared cache.... tried other browsers....

    What am I missing?

    Thanks,
    Cindy

    I looked at your blog page and the body classes aren't right for Genesis Framework blog. There a chance that it's not working because you are using Elementor.

    I don't understand what you mean when you say, "It does make the Word Press Editor available to me". The WordPress editor should always be available to you as long as you're not using a page builder.

    You did create the new blog template and saved in the child theme directory, right?

    Then when you created the new page, you assigned the template to it?

    I don't know that there's anyway to help you further with only access to the front end of your site.

    To add page content to the top of a page using the Blog Page template create a file called page_blog.php in your child theme directory with the following contents:

    <?php

    //* Template Name: Blog

    //* Show page content above posts
    add_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_standard_loop', 5 );

    genesis();
