Wordpress Genesis Executive Pro Setup Questions

I am a total beginner and already proud of what I achieved so far but now I am reaching my limits. Would appreciate some help regarding below questions.

1. How can I set the opacity of the slider text background to e.g. 50%, so that part of the underlying images shine through?
2. The text showing on the left of the slider is not following the formatting in the page. How can I achieve the same? (The same is true for featured blog posts below - compare item 3.)
3. How can i have the slider text be aligned bottom-left and not top-left. Nothing changes when I adjust the settings in the slider widget?
4. Below the slider I have some featured posts using the Genesis featured post widget. Now I would like to remove the sharing buttons here, which I have generated using the WordPress Jetpack plug-in. How can I do so without removing them from the post itself?
5. If you look at the middle post (customer testimonial), I have difficulties to set the photo size in a way that it restricts the photo to the maximum width of the post excerpt. How can i do that?
6. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you can see a huge disclaimer. Is it possible to add e.g. a text widget below all other content that is not using 1/3 of the width but the entire width so that I can move the disclaimer there? I thought that would be the “After Entry” area but when I move the text in there it just does not show at all.
7. Is it possible to use the Genesis featured post widget also on other pages than the homepage? What I would like to achieve is e.g. under Resources three listings - similar to the homepage - displaying different post excerpts. Same under Career, where I would like to display current job openings?
8. I am a little unsure as to the picture quality I have been using and if the picture files are too large/too high quality for the internet? As long as a print out of individual pages on A4 looks good nothing more is required. Would appreciate some guidance.

Update...and still hoping someone might want to speed up my learning experience...

a) I solved items 1-3 by editing the slider photos in Photoshop.
b) I solved item 5 by uploading a resized photo
c) I started to solve item 7 using the "insert php" plug-in

I would still appreciate help with items 4, 6 and 8.

Remark regarding no. 7: I managed to get the featured post widget work under careers & resources but they show below each other and not next to each other. How can I change it in a way so that always three are displayed next to each other again?
