I want to place a banner ad that is 728 x 90 in my footer area and when I add the code script under Genesis Theme Settings in the "Enter scripts or code you would like output to wp_footer()  it places it at the very bottom but past the shaded area where my copyright and widget area appears. I actually want it to appear right above the widgets period but still in that shaded area  as part of the Glitter Theme or else above my copyright and credential area that is at the bottom in the shaded area.

I was wondering if maybe I need to paste the ad code (from Linkshare) somewhere else and which is why I am not achieving  the result I want. I tried pasting it in a text box and transferring it to a widget in the footer but that made it only the width of the widget so the ad appeared but it was super tiny, barely readable.

I'm currently running Genesis 1.9 and WP 3.5. This is a brand new install.

Hoping someone would be so kind as to address where and how I would go about this.

Install the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin and paste the HTML code for your banner image into one of the footer hooks.

This location might suit you genesis_before_footer Hook

A link to your site would help please
