    I would like to add a secondary sidebar option, can this be done?

    This is what removes the layout options in functions.php

    /** Unregister layout settings */
    genesis_unregister_layout( 'content-sidebar-sidebar' );
    genesis_unregister_layout( 'sidebar-content-sidebar' );
    genesis_unregister_layout( 'sidebar-sidebar-content' );
