Authority Pro – remove all grey boxes and small blue dash lines

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the large grey boxes with the small blue dashed line that appears on the home page, blog page and really everywhere on the site.

I'm trying to keep the site simple and clean

Any help is greatly appreciated

The grey boxes are the .widget_media_image::before class in style-front.css at line 38.

The blue dashes are the .widget_media_image::after class in style-front.css at line 50.

To remove this do I just comment out the blocks?

I'm wondering if these style sheets are style relevant, as this post is 2-year old? I'm having problems finding the names that both @VictorFont and @Anita are mentioning. Anyone have the latest on Authority Pro and removing the blocks?
