I am having an issue with my book cover size with the Author Pro Widget.

One the first page, the covers are scaled incorrectly and I can only fit 2 books per row. It looks nothing like the demo.

    http://www.cahuggins.com/

In the widget my image size is the Author Pro Image (360 X 570). I have regenerated my thumbnails.

I'm not sure what else there is to do.

    Thanks for any help.

The magic happens in your functions.php file via function author_widget_area_class( $id ).

It is entirely dependent on the number of books you add. Assuming you add more than one book ...

If the number of books added is divisible by 3 or 4 - without a remainder - then you will get rows of 3 and 4 books respectively.

Otherwise, you will get rows of 2 books.

Personally, I like what you've done there ... nice big clear images that do your book covers a lot of justice 🙂

Hi I tried adding more books. And now My Archive has 2 pages and the image sizes are still the same. I've shut off all of my plugins. Still, nothing.

Sticking with your home page for the moment - and given that you have more books to display than the demo illustrates - how would you like to see your books to be arranged?

I had added an update to my explanation above because I thought it was in error. I tested further and realized it was correct. Sorry about that. I do have my moments 🙂

You currently have 7 books. What you are currently seeing is consistent with how the theme currently works. Obviously, that's not what you're looking for here 🙂 But to test things out, if you remove 1 book, you should see two rows of 3 books. If you add 1 more book, you should see two rows of 4 books.

It should be noted that this functionality works per Front Page N widget area ... and you still have one left over since you have used 4 out of 5 so far. In this case, we are talking about Front Page 2.

If you can specify how you would like things to appear then we can figure something out 🙂

As of today, I see 3 books per row. It seems like you fixed the issue. It also scales properly as you resize the window. How many books per row did you want?
