I'm working on my author page/box and notice the page/link/url is not using the "Display name publicly as" from my settings. Any idea why and how to fix the problem?

The URL always uses your login name (which is a huge problem IMO) no matter how you set your name to display. However, you can change that - here are a few options: http://justintadlock.com/archives/2013/01/29/how-to-change-your-author-archive-link
