I am using anchors to allow users to find specific spots on a given page of my site. When I edit the html of a page with them on it, I am finding that even though I don't touch that line of html code... It disappears when I update other areas of the page. I then have to go back in and add the anchors again since they are gone. I am using the News theme.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

    Thanks!

    Ted

That's a WordPress bug - if you do anything in the HTML editor, like adding a script, it will disappear if you switch back to the Visual editor and change anything on the page. In those situations I usually just swear to never edit those pages again (which I know is not really a solution).

There's a plugin called Better Anchor Links... I haven't used it but it seems to have good reviews. That may be worth checking out.
