    Hi,

I'm currently building a site using the Altitude Pro theme and would like the primary sidebar to appear on the blog page.

I have blog page template chosen, and the layout option for that page as content/sidebar but the sidebar does not show (it shows on the individual posts, but not the blog archive page).

Can anybody point me in the right direction with this please?

    Thanks in advance

    Danny

Check the Layout Settings on the Edit Page screen.

Thanks for the reply Brad, I do however have the layout settings on the edit page screen set to "content/sidebar" (I've tried the sidebar/content option too just to see if it worked but no joy)

I can point you in the right direction.

The default is full width layout.

If you change that, all pages will be content sidebar so what you can do is upload a custom blog page template which includes the code for content sidebar so it only displays the primary sidebar on the blog page template.

I have all the code for this on my site.

Thanks Brad, it was a little simpler than that in the end!

for anyone else having the same challenge with Altitude theme->

If you have your front page set to display a static page you will need to go to reading > settings and change your post pages settings from "blog" to ' --Select--' then save your changes - job done. (thanks to Studiopress support)

    Hi there --

I'm having this same issue - it is not displaying the sidebar correctly - it's looks as if it's trying to put the posts into two columns. My layout is set to display a content/sidebar - that's my default theme setting. Altitude Pro uses "your latest posts" for the front page so you cannot just set the "Posts" to a Blog page.

    Hi there,

This problem appears to be related only to the posts I created in the past two days. I've taken them down and the Blog page now looks fine. I don't know what was different about those posts but I will recreate them.

    Thank you,
    Marlene
