Until I find out how to add an extra widget to be able to do embed a few videos, I need to place them side by side within the front page. When I embed the videos, they are not aligning to the left and next to each other. I have tried all sorts of adjustments. Any ideas!

You could add split sidebars in any hook position.

Untested, but you could try adding a class to each video code, float one to the left and the other to the right with a width of about 48% for each.

Otherwise, content column classes are built into Genesis http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/content-column-classes/
