I'm putting together a review of AgentPress Pro and I'm trying to work out from the StudioPress setup instructions if Property listings are added via custom post types or a Property listings template.
A Properties listings template is mentioned in the Features section but it is not mentioned in the setup instructions.

The theme includes a taxonomy.php and archive-listing.php file.
So they are added after you install the plugin which generates the CPT and displayed on the taxonomy.php and archive-listing.php templates which uses the WordPress Template Hierarchy

I've just set up a local site and worked it out.
As you say the AgentPress listings plugin does all the hard work. The features mention a " Properties listings template" but I don't see one in my dashboard.
Also no mention in the setup info of IDX integration.
Carrie Dills "Winning Agent Pro" theme was much better documented than AgentPress Pro.June 14, 2014 at 1:16 pm #109776Brad DaltonParticipantAs soon as you activate the plugin, the Listings CPT displays in the Dashboard and then you simply follow the setup instructions.
I used the theme to build a wine site and it was great to work with.
Not sure about the IDX integration.

I was thinking that the AgentPress listings plugin could be used for sites other than real estate sites.Let me have a link to the wine site and I'll give it a mention.

I wanted the information for a blog post I was putting together on the AgentPress theme.
Eventually I installed it on a local install and played around with it to get my answers.
http://genesisthemes.co.uk/agentpress-pro-genesis-child-theme/Hi Tracy
"I’m curious about the IDX integration, too."I couldn't work out if AgentPress Pro was configured to work with any IDX plugins so I never mentioned it in my article.
If anyone could answer the "IDX integration question" I'll add it to the post.
September 22, 2014 at 1:56 pm #125353leeeinlaMemberCan you configure IDX integration into the Search Box. Do you need special coding for it. I don't know why CopyBlogger have not included it into the theme. I am also having problems creating the Search Box categories using WP 4.0. I know how to create taxonomies. Any help would be appreciated. There are lot of videos on AgentPress 2.1, but non on AgentPress Pro that give you detailed information.
September 22, 2014 at 2:21 pm #125355Joseph LeeMemberWithout looking in their plugin I would being by saying the properties is a custom post type. The custom post type has a parameter that makes it queryable. Thus, it should show up when you use the search field that comes default with wordpress.
If it isn't, then you would have to modify the plugin for that parameter. Every time the plugin gets updated, your code would be lost.
Are you a Realtor or a Designer? You should use this guy roveridx.com
He has a plugin, and it has the markup built for studio presses agentpress theme. The old theme and the new one. Tell him Joseph sent you. I can help you get the plugin installed if you want. It integrates with agent press and has allt he properties on the mls brought to your website, instead of you having to update each property you want to show.
September 22, 2014 at 2:39 pm #125358leeeinlaMemberThanks for the info. I am going just install the IDX plugin for now and try to make it work.
