I am thinking of adding Agent Press Pro to my site and want to know if it is likely to work with a membership plugin. I have a few questions:

    1. The website is not for real estate / estate agency, I actually plan to use it for a Continuing Professional Development programme. The framework looks ideal and I can see how I can easily switch properties for development content. The features in this theme look just what we need. My query is whether there are elements of the theme that I cannot change from being real estate-related, e.g. does each post for a property have to have a map and property details headings as on this page (https://my.studiopress.com/themes/agentpress/#demo-full) or will these not show if I do not include the relevant information.

    2. I need to apply content permissions to certain classifications of users so plan to use a Membership plugin, such as MemberPress or Restrict Content Pro. My query is if anyone has done this and if the theme and plugin worked together.

ANy advice or insight is much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Lindsey.

Hi Lindsey, to answer your first question, AgentPress Pro uses the plugin called AgentPress listings "https://wordpress.org/plugins/agentpress-listings/" and creates a custom post type for the Listings. You do not need to enter those fields at all for the properties and they will display perfectly fine. Keep in mind if you choose to use the plugin for this, you will probably need to custom code some of the URLs. I personally don't think you'd want to use the plugin for development.

For the second question, that is a WordPress function and not a theme function. So you would just follow the plugins instructions on how to implement that.

Thank you so much for your response Anita. The theme and AgentPress listings plugin are just what I need. With some adaptation the combination of these two is working just how I need it to for the site to work for the professional development programme I am putting together. Brill.
