MemberOn my homepage all the listings are not aligned because my featured images are different sizes.
What is the size I should make my featured images since the template does not crop them?No instructions here, which would be helpful:

ParticipantForgive me for commenting here, but I've also posted this same question without a resolution in the general forum. Hopefully between the two, someone will see this and can help me find a resolution to what's going on.
I'm having the same exact problem, but re-sizing the above suggested dimensions does not fix the issue. I have images that are not sizing nor aligning properly.
Travdo -- did you figure out how to resolve this?
Thanks,
CC

Membercccmedia, I am pretty sure this plugin has its own support forum at:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/agentpress-listings
I suggest you seek assistance there.

ParticipantDave - thanks so much for the info. I'll go this route!

Participant**UPDATE** Thanks again, Dave, for the info, but it seems this has been asked before in the plugin forum, and the author of the plugin has responded by stating that featured images are handled by the theme, not the plugin.
Hopefully someone will come along and will be able to help me figure out what is causing this oddity.

Membercccmedia: Would be really helpful if you could post a URL which highlights your problem 🙂

ParticipantSure can, Erik. http://soldiersfirstrealestate.com
The problem is with the images. They are not sizing properly. I've tried several different dimensions suggested in this post and in one that I created, but none work.

MemberThanks for the link 🙂
Who is uploading these images to the site?

ParticipantErik, I am. The site was initially with AgentPress, before the non-mobile responsive issue just became too much of a hassle, and the site was then migrated over to the Pro version -- that's when everything went wonky. I understand the required dimensions are going to be different, but for the life of me, I'm not putting two and two together on this one. I've tried every recommendation, including drafting up a sample new listing that would not have been impacted by transfering the files, and it's doing the exact same thing.

MemberThe reason I ask is because all of the images - with the exception of the first two on the first row - are originally 280x200.
The original dimensions of the first two - on that first row - are (respectively):
- 740x411
- 740x555I'm just wondering if you need to upload those two images with the right version and dimensions for the home page ...
Erik D. Slater: Digital Platform Consultant • LinkedInJanuary 15, 2016 at 10:25 pm #176658cccmedia
ParticipantThat's the strange thing about it. If you notice the padding (hard to see I know) on all the images -- minus (sort of) the 1st one, the images are actually way too small. They aren't conforming to the size they were supposed to. So I went in and started re-uploading the images with a different dimension to fill up the white spare area, and that's where all the conflict has begun.
It's a real oddity -- unless I'm either drinking way too much coffee, or haven't had enough lol
The images, minus the first two, are the original dimensions that were being used when the site was on AgentPress.

MemberHmmm ... they all look OK now. Did you update something?

ParticipantI sure as heck did, and I'm going to sure as heck share it!! Talk about coincidences! While working with you, I moved on to another site; which required that I use a plugin called "Regenerate Thumbnails" -- Found here --> https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
I decided, at this point, it couldn't hurt to try it on this site. It worked!!!
Erik, thanks so much for hanging in there with me. I didn't even realized that had worked, until your comment!

MemberAh-haaaa ... yes ... that makes sense ... especially since you had "migrated over to the Pro version — that’s when everything went wonky" 🙂
thanks so much for hanging in there with me. I didn’t even realized that had worked, until your comment!
I think your coffee deserves all the praise here 😉
