If I understand correctly what you're trying to do, the answer is that yes...the "Page Links To" plugin will do what you want to do. I've used it myself, on the Agency Pro theme, and so I know that it works.
The setup instructions for the Agency Pro theme explain how to use the plugin...after you click the link, go to the bottom of the page and you'll see a "Note"...and that shows you what to do.
You set up a post, which you refer to in the "Featured Posts" setup, and you also set up a page with the content you actually want to display. Set it all up according to the instructions shown on the page I've linked you to.
Then...after setting up the Featured Posts settings, you use the "Page Links To" plugin (as shown) so that when someone clicks they will go to the page you have set up (with the content you want) instead of going to a post.
