    How would you:

    1. Edit the formating of the text contained withing the post on the responsice slider? Change the font? Change the formatting?

    2. Change the link to go to a page instread of a post?

    If it is not possible to do either, could you create an image that looks the way you wish the test could look and customize to where that image links?

    Than you in advance.

    Try this. Add this to your CSS, then add your elements like font color, size, font type.
    #home-slider p {
    font-size: 18px;
    padding: 0 0 25px;
    }

    For editing say the background - try this:

    .agency .slide-excerpt {
    margin: 0;
    opacity: 1;
    padding: 22px 40px 22px 20px;

    }
    .slide-excerpt {
    background-color: #FFFFFF;
    display: block;
    margin: 10px;
    opacity: 0.8;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 8;

    }

    To link the contents to a totally different page - add in the Pages Links To Plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/ and redirect it.

    You can find the elements if you use Firebug with the Firefox browser.
