Adsense text ads not showing in some themes

I've encountered this problem on the Decor and Eleven40 themes, but not the News theme:

I need to add two adsense ads side-by-side. One is a graphic (left), and the other is a text ad (right). I'm inserting the ads into the genesis_before_content_sidebar_wrap Hook with Genesis Simple hooks plugin.

Both ads work on http://www.houseinspirations.com/. As you can see the graphic is on the left, with text ads to the right.

However, when the same code is dropped into the same hook on the Eleven40 theme ( http://qawoo.com/ ) or into the Decor theme ( http://qawoo.wondraweb.com/ ) the text ad does not work. When I check the source code, the adsense code is still there, it's just not working.

The adsense code (altered to protect my client) is below:

For whatever reason the text ad is now showing on the Qawoo.com site. I didn't change anything. I suspect it may have been something on Google's side.
