    Hi All-

Building a site with the News theme:

    CTOutdoorGuide.com

I'm trying to add an AdSense ad to the header by pasting the ad code from AdSense into a text widget which I have drag and dropped in to the Header Right area. All I'm seeing is a blank space. The steps for accomplishing this seem well documented on sites such as the following:

    http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-google-adsense-to-your-wordpress-site/

And I've followed them exactly. Any insight into what I'm doing wrong or misunderstanding would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

If you're implementing ads for the first time on your AdSense account, you probably haven't been approved for the second phase yet. Keep the ads on your site and when you are approved they'll start displaying. 🙂

    Best,
    Lauren

    Thanks Lauren-

When I go back to my AdSense account I'm now getting the following message in red across the top of the screen:

"Your pages are displaying blank ad units because you haven't yet verified your PIN and/or phone number."

So seems pretty clear that's the culprit. I wasn't seeing that before but I am now.

    Thanks for your input,

    -Chris
