Hi all,
I use the Foodie Genesis Theme. I acknowledge that a previous forum member has inquired about the mobile header not functioning properly for this particular theme before.
The proposed solution is to upload a new version of the theme (while saving your CSSand then going back and re-entering it in) ...this seems incredibly inconvenient to me. Does that mean that all of my widget customizations are lost? As well as anything else that I've tinkered with in the dashboard?
Is there any other solution for fixing this within the WP dashboard so that my header fits within the mobile layout, instead of re-uploading?
Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

March 28, 2014 at 11:10 am #97141sjogbornMemberThanks @Au Coeur. Unfortunately that didn't work.
Does anyone know how to just remove the responsive design for mobile entirely? Now that I think of it, I'd prefer that it gets removed all together.
March 28, 2014 at 11:15 am #97142AnitaKeymasterNick's plugin doesn't work with HTML5 themes. You will need to customize the header on your own in the media queries area. You've lost a lot of your responsiveness in your header and images, as well as overlapping content area. If you need freelance customization service to assist you, send me a note on my website.

@AuCoeur - just tried that, and now it's showing up very oddly at the top of my mobile screen - take a look from your mobile device and you will see - http://www.clarkandschiller.comMarch 28, 2014 at 12:50 pm #97157AnitaKeymasterHer solution doesn't work because you need to also remove the Viewport from functions.php. You will then need to edit your theme where you see percentages. Responsive design uses percentages. You will need to convert those percentages to pixel widths.

However, If you have made customizations to style.css or functions.php, you will need to add those back in.
