I have the Metro Theme. Currently I have the Home page with 6 posts on the home page.
http://blog.contenttriggers.com/ . I'm trying to add a new Blog Post Page so that my 7th - 12th post (or more) will appear on the next page as a partial post with [Read more...]
At the end of the page I want to have the page numbers at the bottom like...1 2 3 4 5 and so on with older posts as well as a previous page and next page button..
I can't figure out how to do this.
Also how do I eliminate the date stamp on my posts? I don't want dates on them.
Thanks!
June 13, 2013 at 8:06 pm #45807AnitaCKeymasterThe home page is widgetized. You cannot "carry forward" so that they pick up from blog 7 - 12.
To edit the post info - install the Genesis Simple Edits plugin and you can edit that.

Now about adding the pages. I was just giving an example 7-12. I can't have all the posts I ever create on the home page or just have links in the side bar. I should be able to have unlimited pages with multiple posts as I create them like in most other themes.
It shows it is possible in the Metro Theme Demo.http://demo.studiopress.com/metro/templates/blog/ I selected Templates -> Blog Page
On this page are 5 Sample postsThen scroll all the way down and you will see: 1 2 3 Next Page >>
Page 2 has more sample posts. How do I do all this? Thanks.
June 14, 2013 at 5:29 am #45840AnitaCKeymaster@triggers, you didn't ask for a way to show all of your blogs on one page or in a sidebar. The Blog page template is designed so that it works with the Blog Page Template settings found in Genesis > Theme Settings - scroll down and you will see where to set the number of blogs you want "per page". This function does NOT work for setting up the "Home Page" which as I started before is widgetized. You can place whatever category or content on the home landing page. If you don't want all the widgetized areas and you only want the blog page to show up with the pagination at the bottom, then you will need to set a Static page (the Blog page) to show them. Go to Settings > Reading and select Static page and then Blog from the drop down and save it.

The Home page now has posts with summaries however:
1. The Home page and the Blog Page have the same posts
2. It doesn't have the images with each post.
3. It doesn't have page numbers at the bottom
4. It's missing the Share buttons
5. How do I remove the Leave Comment Button at the top of the posts.
Thanks
