    I am trying to build a page (in fact a 'thank you' page) that when loaded will automatically trigger the download of a file.
    I started looking for ideas and came across the following one that works perfectly for me:

    Manually adding the following meta tag:

    <head>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="3;URL=file-to-download.zip">
    </head>

    Not being really a programming expert, I wonder if I am creating more problems than I solve by using this approach.
    That's all.
