I would like to add some custom social buttons to the category page post excerpts.
I would like these links to appear under the title of each excerpt.Can I do this somehow by adding a function to funtions.php file or do I need to perhaps edit the category page file?
Hook them in from your functions file.
Here's an example for displaying different content after each archive excerpt
What you'd want to do is add a after entry widget using the archive conditional tag.
