I'm launching a web community to support totally blind entrepreneurs, so website accessibility is an absolute must for this project.

I'm using the Generate theme, which doesn't contain ARIA labels (like banner, navigation, main content, etc etc) out of the box. I've been able to add most of them by using a few hooks, but I can't seem to figure out how I'd do this for the navigation menu and header/logo area.

Here's an article for reference: http://accessibility.oit.ncsu.edu/training/aria/landmarks-xhtml.html

I'm trying to use the role=banner and role=navigation attributes on my banner/logo and navigation menu respectively.

    Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!

Did you ever get this figured out? I’d be happy to escalate if you are still looking for resolution.
