I have an accessibility consultant hired on a job for a website that serves blind and visually impaired customers. We're trying to add a style switcher to the site, which will have an unordered list spanning horizontally with options for a high contrast and large font views.

I've added the div containing this list just above the header (genesis_before_header). It is centered without any styling, but when I float it to the left, it makes the entire site wonky.

Anyone have an idea of how I can style this div/list to sit on the left-hand side just above the header? The site is at: http://dev.ontempoideas.com/CD

Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

Justin, your style switcher is a great feature - you are setting a good example! I need the same for my site since I'm an accessibility consultant for buildings.

I see that you haven't yet solved the float:left issue and that activating the high contrast css also changes your div layouts. Are you still actively working on this project?
