Adding a Featured Image to Single Post? (Magazine Pro)

Forgive my ignorance. I've searched before posting this but couldn't find a specific answer.

I am using Magazine Pro. I have uploaded a featured image with my post, but it does not show on the single post page. I thought this was a default behavior, according to the demo. The featured image shows up on my homepage.

How do I get it to show up on the single post page as well?

Hi Brad, thanks for the reply. Where do I put this code? I am new to Genesis, so when I'm in the WordPress dashboard, I cannot find the editor page where I can access the functions.php file. Do I need to access it through an FTP program?

Please copy ALL the code and paste it at the end of your child themes functions.php file using a text editor like Notepad++

@braddalton: How can we adjust the size or display the full image? It's pulling the 150x150 version of the thumbnail.

i have been using genesis featured widget amplified, what a great plugin. I am working with magazine pro now and it won't show thumbnails. Is there something I should change in the functions or css?

Hi, I got the image to show using this method outlined above, but now on the single post pages, the image links to itself. How do I remove this link? I just want the image to link to the post when viewing it from the home page or a category, but once someone is on the actual single post page, I don't want the image to link to anything.

On the demo we inserted the image in the content. Simple as that.

Oh, interesting. Is there a benefit (SEO or otherwise) of doing it this way (inserting images into the post directly vs. using the Featured Image to pull it into the post)?
