    Hi there,
I'd like to utilize an index.html file with my child theme.
Is there ANY possible way to do this? Either by translating the XML to HTML, adding an HTML file, etc.?

    PLEASE ASSIST - thanks!

There's an example of an index.php file in the Ambience Pro child theme.

No need to add HTML directly to a template when you can simply add it in your editor so its stored in the database.

If you want to make your own template, try copying and renaming the page_landing.php file in your child theme and modifying it using the StudioPress code snippets. http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/
