I want to build this design: http://www.nh-lm.com. Full width top image, then two columns underneath.
so basically take the Genesis default theme and add a widget or image above the two columns.
I may be willing to hire this out if someone explains or shows me. I already own a custom theme designed like this but i cant figure this step out and need to for learning sake. So offer a friendly suggestion or name your price range. Not looking to join a club with monthly fee. One time help.
1. Use code as seen here to add new widget to the homepage. http://www.basicwp.com/add-new-widget-genesis-homepage/
2. You can duplicate same code to another another widget area and then use column classes to show content in two columns.

Do you know where I would add this code using a tool like Genesis Extender?
I understand you probably don't, but just asking. Thank you for your help.
Still working on this. Please keep it open, Forum managers.
So I did this tutorial: http://www.basicwp.com/add-new-widget-genesis-homepage/#
Anyone have any suggestions how to remove the three display blog posts on the bottom of the Appfinite theme Optimal? I want to replace it with a content/sidebar. I may also try to add the image over the content/sidebar.
Please offer feedback:
