Add Audio to Featured Post Widget area

I want to add an audio player in the Featured Post widget area.
The excerpt pulls text, I want it to pull an audio player too.

Your best option would be to use an audio plugin that can be configured to display the player in excerpts. Both of the ones I have used are geared more towards podcasting, podPress and Powerpress, but they can both be configured to do what you need.

I have this in action on both http://www.sliceofscifi.com and http://www.dragonpage.com, using podPress and Genesis Featured Widget Amplified.
