add altitude pro background gradient to infinity pro

Hi, I just want to add the same background filter to Infinity pro front page images as I have found in Altitude pro. The problem is that I cannot cover the whole frontpage background image. Iw would be thankful for any recommendation.

This is the code from the Altitude Pro theme:

In the developer tools I added the gradient to .front-page-1 .widget-area and removed the padding from style-front.css - front-page-1.
