    I'd like to add a full width widget area below the menu and above the 3 boxes so I can add the Genesis Responsive Slider widget in there. (on Streamline Pro theme)

    I've got this part but don't know how to get that to actually be included in the home page.

    genesis_register_sidebar( array(
    	'id'		=> 'slider-widget-here',
    	'name'		=> __( 'Slider Area', 'streamline' ),
    	'description'	=> __( 'This is the widget area for the homepage slider.', 'streamline' ),
    ) );

    Try this tutorial http://wpsites.net/web-design/widget-genesis/

    Your code registers the widget in your functions file.

    Then you need a function to call the widget.

    Thanks, that works, but I only need it on the home page. (which I guess I failed to mention)

    I read some other tutorials which had a specific page ID "filter" (conditional statement) that that would work on, but the problem with that is that theme uses the "Your latest posts" and not a "static" page option, so it has no page ID that I know of, so that method of targeting the page won't work.

    Any ideas there?

    Or if you have a totally different/better idea, I'm just trying to add a slider to the homepage. The Genesis Responsive Slider just happened to be a widget.
