    Hi,

Yesterday, I updated the Genesis and the Child Theme and I came to know that I have lost the customizations. Is there any way to get the customizations back or do I need to hard code them?

    For example:

    1. The featured image is getting in Posts which I want to remove from the post.
    2. Headlines and Hyperlinks to make it Bold
    3. Archives: Remove Categories, Authors, Monthly from the Archives Page

    Please guide.

    Thanks,
    Avadhut

All customizations are made to the child theme. Once a child theme is installed, there shouldn't be a reason to ever update it. If you've already overwritten your child theme, your customizations are gone. The only way to get them back is restore from a backup.

Thank you very much for your answer.

So, there is no update for child theme- Generate Pro? Updating Genesis to 2.4.2 is all that is required to do? I don't need to update child theme?
