    Hello
    I've been given the task of redesigning a sling library website - they currently use blog posts to display the available slings for hire, but would also like to integrate a shop as they are now selling slings alongside.

    Is it possible to do it all together in one site, or should they really be separated (with a shop in a subdomain for example)?

    Could you recommend any Genesis themes and plugins please?

    Yes. you can use SHOP and BLOG in same theme. There have lot of eCommerce Genesis child theme. I created one. You can check it "Cake Shop" . But I am not sure that it'll fit with your site. I gave the name "Cake Shop" but you can use it as multipurpose theme
