I just recently updated my News Child theme and my header is not responsive in mobile anymore. What to do?
Thank you.
Good day,
Hope everyone had a great Saturday morning. I am a happy user of MagazinePro theme now looking for another Studiopress theme for 1-page website for copywriter.
A limitation for 1-page is not a must - I just want to to be as simple as possible as all it needs is to
- represent the author and their background
- outline their experience
- include a section for portfolio, attaching some PDF files or including a link
- include contact information.
- Footer/Header and all other things even the most simple website is expected to have.I want it to have navigation (three-bar menu) at the top of the page but move the person to the relevant section of the same page without opening a new page in another tab/window.
That said, having the opportunity to grow from 1-pager to several pages (opening in different tabs/windows) at a later stage would be great.
As to the theme itself, I am looking for something that has to be:
> modern looking and exciting
> crisp, clean, professionally-looking, with simple fonts which make it easy to read
> be mobile-friendly, responsive and equally good for desktop/mac/ipad/iphone
> doesn't require a lot of visuals as this is a "writer's website" not "designer/studio/agency" websiteCan you suggest something in Studiopress catalogue? Hope to save my day for the same with your help! 😉
Hi,
I would like to create a boxed layout for my Genesis sample theme. I found an article about this from 2014 but I wanted to know if there's an updated way to do this.I would be using the boxed layout with a responsive header image as I did find instructions for creating a responsive header here.
Thank you,
LiciaI am working with cafe pro on Google Chrome.
The header image customization automatically compresses my custom logo/header image to be very small, and while it looks great on mobile, it is far too small for the large blank home page. Is there a way I can make it appear larger on desktop browsers while still keeping the image responsive for mobile?
I previously had tried to use a background image in the header section with my logo on it to circumvent this issue, but that was also then not responsible/adjustable on different browsers and devices.
Hi! This is my first time with the genesis framework and I'm trying to update a really old website and I'm having a big problem with the whole page "freezing" or being totally unresponsive after I do a search.
Any help would be great 🙂

Viewing the page in 50%, I can see that the page has properly loaded but I dunno why the whole page freezes and mouse clicks don't work.
I've checked the search.php file and I'm not what seems to be causing it.

Hello,
I am using Genesis Sample and Atomic Blocks.
Image responsiveness on my iPhone 6 is awful. The image in the header is tiny rather than filling the space. (it has gradient css for background).
An image utilizing short code for rotating images, overflows and does not size to the screen.
The text in the column to left of the rotating image, overflows to the wide of the rotating image, rather than resizing to the window. And finally, the footer is resizing to the image that is tiny like the header image, rather than filling the space. (it also has gradient css for background).
Any ideas how to make this look presentable?
Hi there! I'm a beginner when it comes to creating WordPress websites, but I do have the Genesis framework. I've been looking at the demo sites for many Genesis child themes and can't help but feel like I haven't found the "perfect" one. Since I'm a beginner, I want something that requires minimal customizations since I wouldn't really know how to customize it in the first place besides change the text and photos on the demo.
I also haven't found a child theme with the type of header I'm imagining (they're either all full-width or have an image behind them). I want it to be "indented" a little, logo on left, menu on right, and ability to add a button to the menu. It should also be on a solid color background, no images behind it.
Then I'd like a full-width hero image with a text overlay and button. The mobile responsiveness of this is important. Finally, I'd like a blog feed centered in a container, so not full-width. At the bottom of the homepage, there is a full-width email opt in form and the footer with multiple columns.
I'm great at using Canva though so I put together a quick visual for what I'm imagining, which I uploaded to my Dropbox and linked down below. I know what I want is simple and I'm sure it can be done on many themes, but like I said, I'm a beginner and don't want many customizations ahead of me.
Any ideas or recommendations? Thank you 🙂
[Resolved]Topic: Replace Essence Pro Header Menu With Button
Hey all,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I'm working in Essence Pro, trying to replace the conditional header-right (off screen) menu that opens into a lightbox with a clickable button for a phone number. I've tried cutting the whole thing out and activating the header right widget area (which is lined out in essence pro), but I couldn't get the widget area properly responsive.
I really appreciate any input...
Warmly,
Sam

[Resolved]Topic: Lifestyle Pro Header Image in .site-header
I want to put an image where the .site-header is and of course I want it to be responsive.
I will need to adjust the height as well.I am open to using a different theme is that makes more sense, but this one is the closest to what I'm after.
[Resolved]Topic: Minimum Pro "parallax-style" header
Hi all,
So right now there are two things I'd like to do, without breaking the theme:
1- I would like remove the scrolling effect on top showing the backstretch image. Instead I'd like to add a header image that will be responsive on mobile.
Right now, even on desktop, if I insert a header image, it will not show completely (I did modify the value in functions.php).
2- I'd like to have a boxed layout (like the portal) and insert a background image outside of the box (like on the portal here: https://vi-control.net/portal/).
Thank you for any help!
Andre
